    The case against the huntsman of the Lunesdale Foxhounds Ltd, Paul Whitehead and the hunt’s company director Terence Potter was before Skipton Magistrates’ Court today and was adjourned until the 21st January 2015 for trial at York Magistrates’ Court.

  • Middleton Hunt joint master faces fox hunting allegations

    The case against Tom Holt, joint master and huntsman of the Middleton Hunt, was before Scarborough Magistrates’ Court today and was adjourned until the 12th February 2015 for trial. Tom Holt is being prosecuted for hunting a wild mammal with dogs, contrary to Section 1 of the Hunting Act 2004.

  • College Valley and North Northumberland Hunt found guilty of illegal fox hunting

    Three members of the College Valley and North Northumberland Hunt – Ian McKie (huntsman), Andrew Proe (kennel huntsman) and Tim Smalley (joint master) – have been found guilty of illegally hunting a wild mammal with dogs on the 27th February 2014 under Section 1 of the Hunting Act 2004.

  • League Against Cruel Sports launches a private prosecution against hunters

    The League Against Cruel Sports has just launched a private prosecution against six members of the Devon and Cornwall based Lamerton Hunt. The League was left with no option but to bring a private prosecution against hunt members after Devon and Cornwall police failed to deal with the evidence supplied by the League’s investigations team.

  • Two members of the Lunesdale Foxhounds plead not guilty

    Paul Whitehead (DOB 28/04/61), the huntsman of the Lunesdale Foxhounds Ltd and the hunt’s company director Terrence Potter (DOB 08/03/51) both pleaded “not guilty” to Hunting Act offences when they appeared at Skipton Magistrates’ Court on the 19th September 2014.
