Three members of the Derwent Hunt, a hunt based in North Yorkshire appeared at Scarborough Magistrates Court on the 22nd May 2017 after being charged with illegal hunting under Section 1 of the Hunting Act.
Hunt master Sean McClarron, 50 of Snainton, kennel-huntsman Jason Marles, 35 of Chumleigh, Devon (formerly of Snainton) and whipper-in Damian Readman, 39 pleaded not guilty to illegal fox hunting on the 1st November 2016 at Wilton, Thornton-le-Dale.
Jason Marles is the new huntsman of the Eggesford Hunt in Devon. Readman was formerly a whipper-in for the Staintondale Hunt
