Heythrop Hunt being prosecuted by the RSPCA

The Heythrop Hunt and four of it’s members are being prosecuted by the RSPCA for 45 alleged offences under the Hunting Act 2004. They denied illegally hunting foxes with dogs during incidents that took place during the spring of 2012. Huntsman Julian Barnfield, whipper-in Duncan Hune, joint master Venessa Lambert and retired joint master Richard Sumner have all been charged with a number of offences. The case will be heard at Oxford Magistrates Court which is due to start on 13th December 2012 and is expected to last for several weeks.
